From our last trip, we have some upgrade coupons for International American flight segments. We figured we could travel and leave the cats for a maximum of two weeks at a time. All was well and good, until we gained a housesitter. And now… a minor trip grew by three weeks.
Where to go? Well, China, of course. (Most of the rest of the northern hemisphere is raining.)
Our sketched itinerary..
Hong Kong;
fly over to Zhongdian in Yunnan Province (near the Himalayas), hopefully not freeze our tushes off, explore the area;
bus to Lijiang and Dali;
fly to Jinghong in Xishuangbanna region of southern Yunnan Province, next to Myanmar and Lao borders, explore;
fly to Kunming, check out the stone forest;
fly to Guilin, check out the karst formations, hang out in Yangshuo;
back to Hong Kong .
That should be easy.
