Fleet Week - SFO

Good weather and a good view from our (short term rental) apartment in San Francisco. What a great Fleet Week, the Blue Angels were buzzing the city on practice runs on Thursday and Friday, then put on a show on Saturday and Sunday (as evidenced by the number of sailboats under the Golden Gate Bridge). We posted a few pictures, but this is when the pocket Casio really lets you know that it isn’t up for distance shots.

More restaurants adding to the waistline - in fine dining in jeans style:

Beetlenut - hopping place on a Friday! small dishes of flavor
Shalimar - extra fine Indian food in a not redecorated since the 30’s cafeteria setting
Blowfish Sushi To Die For - the Super Dynamite Roll to die for: hamachi, sake and green onion, wrapped in sushi rice, lightly fried, and topped with a spicy, Unagi chili sauce - and more fantastic rolls all served in a great extra-yuppie atmosphere

Okay, there were two restaurants that almost made us swear off sushi for awhile, but overall we are having good vibrations over the food. San Francisco-ites do not suffer, don’t let them ever tell you anything less.
